The Chosen are individuals that can generate pure forms of light and use it as a weapon. They are able to do this because of the angelic blood that flows through their veins.

While this power may seem limitless, it does, in fact, come at a price. Every time a Chosen uses their abilities their lifespan is shortened by some extent. These individuals have the capabilities to live for centuries, but many of them end up dying an early death due to the extensive use of their powers.
