Bearskin is a tale revolving around a decommissioned soldier whose talents in the battlefield prove fruitless when assimilating back into society. Neglected and near death due to starvation, the soldier is confronted by a strange man (later unveiled to be the devil) who proposes a sinister bargain. With his code of militaristic chivalry still intact and willingness to help even those who abandoned him not long ago, the soldier accepts the pact and proceeds to astonish with magnanimity.
