Everyone should take a drive down memory lane sometimes. 40 songs, including unashamed nostalgic and evocative music by Bowie, Noel G., S. and Garfunkel, Beach House, Replacements, Arcade Fire, Grant Lee Buffalo, Paul McC., Manic Street P., N. Young and B. Iver.

These were the songs that reflected and projected the feelings I couldn't with my own words while I was going through a break up. So, It's a progression of how I was feeling. It may seem pretty whiny but I think that's how it just is.

In my ideal scenario for the outbreak of a "rage virus" of some sort and the eventual crumbling of civilization as we know it, I'd get suited up like Sargeant Nicholas Angel from Hot Fuzz, over on the left there. These 17 tracks are the soundtrack to that (beautiful dark twisted) fantasy, a collection of songs with ass-kicking guitar riffs, droning bass, an obsession with death, foot-stomping beats and the sinking feeling that you're surrounded.

The band invited a friend onstage to sing and halfway through he jumped back into the crowd and kissed this girl while the band launched into a rock version of the same song and that's just how the night started. Joy Formidable, Troubled Hubble, Pete Yorn
