I don't remember any grunge from the 90s. We were too advanced for that. I wore eyeliner and glitter nailpolish and my girlfriends were bleached blond tomboys. We were non-binary, though no one knew the word yet. We worshipped the 3 minute pop song and studied it reverently. Dressing ourselves in glitter and second hand, we called ourselves hipsters, a word from the 60s we tried in vain to revive. In the eyes of everyone else, we were trash. It would take 20 years for the world to catch up with us. This is what we listened to.
