Meet my character, Jon.
Jonathan Maxwell Estes is a genius art major who takes a summer to explore the world with his four best friends. Towards the end of the trip, Kappa, one of the group, dies from cancer. They bury her and return home, only to be changed for the rest of their lives. After many years, Jon marries Lily, another of the group, who has sunken into deep depression. She wanders the earth, often leaving Jon, who wishes for nothing but her return.
