Let's face it: when I fall in love with a song, I don't wait until the end of the year to incorporate it into a mix. Most of the songs I have loved this past year have already been woven into one of the many mixes I have made throughout the year. As such, creating a "best of 2008" compilation would, in my humble opinion, be pointlessly repetitive. That being said, I have only been laboring here on 8tracks for a few months. Plus, there are inevitably a bunch of songs that have never quite made the cut. These eighteen tracks (with one exception), including music by Ariane Moffatt, Black Kids and Constantines, are a random (and surprisingly danceable) sampling of these songs.
