The "Nightmare Begins" AU where Merlin decided that Gaius and the Dragon were wrong and trusted his friends.

Merlin tells Morgana and Gwen about his own Magic and his mission to protect Arthur and bring magic back to Camelot. Merlin and Morgana learn magic together from the Grimoire Gaius gave him and work together, with Gwen, to prove to Arthur and the people that Uther is wrong about magic and save as many lives as they can.

I'm very tempted to do a rewrite, but I don't have the time or energy right now - especially since I'd need to rewatch the series to do it properly.
