Even a Traitor May Mend

"Even a Traitor may mend. i knew one once who did." -Edmund Pevensive, King of Narnia, the Just, Duke of Lantern Waste, Count of the Weatern Marches.

Though throughout the novel and the series in general, he never truly forgave himself for his actions and he carried that decision with him forever, even after he became King.

he was acting selfishly and betrayed his family, taking the side of the white witch rather than the side of Aslan like his siblings. He was deemed a traitor for it though towards the end of the story, he comes to Aslan asking for forgiveness and a second chance, fighting the war on his side the next time around.
