Cover or Version? (III)

Notes

my favorite version of dylan comes first:) w/ cloud cult..
"..Then take me disappearin’ through the smoke rings of my mind
Down the foggy ruins of time, far past the frozen leaves
The haunted, frightened trees, out to the windy beach
Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow
Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free
Silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands
With all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves
Let me forget about today until tomorrow.."

Happy you liked, smiled and laughed, Len! It does take time and work (brazilian internet can be a pain) to put a mix together. But soon i have a feedback like yours here, it's all worth it :)) Thank you xx

I love this mix Raquel. I listened to it today while I was working and decided to show some restraint as I was listening and not comment on each and every song. You know how wordy I can get. ;) I had trouble fully waking up today and took a couple of breaks but came back to where I left off here listening to these wonderful Bob Dylan covers... and versions... :) You started off with what may be my favorite Dylan cover of all time now (because of you)... Cloud Cult with 'Mr. Tambourine Man'. It sounds as fresh and new as the first time I heard it. And The Tallest Man On Earth singing 'I Want You'. Just great. I starred many of these as I was listening to them. They are all great together. A few songs in you had a string of live songs together and it felt like I was at an amazing Dylan tribute concert. I especially liked the energy of the Dave Matthews Band doing 'All Along The Watchtower'. Very cool version. And the Indigo Girls with 'Tangled Up In Blue'. What a great version of that song that just kept getting better as it went. Many I had heard but some of them surprised me and made me smile or sometimes laugh out loud. Jordi Batiste & Gerard Quintana and then Articolo 31 with an Italian version of 'Like a Rolling Stone' had me laughing out loud. I loved it!! When I heard Elvis doing 'Don't Think Twice, It's All Right' I was picturing him with his lip curled singing... "it ain't no use to sit and wonder why babe..." haha.
You wrapped it all up really nicely with some gentler songs after the more exciting numbers . Bonnie Raitt's cover of 'Standing in the Doorway' is great. Earlier in the mix she did 'Million Miles' and they were both a really great fit for her vocal styling and musical emotion. The song you chose to end with was perfect. Great job. You've had other great mixes but this may be my favorite.
