Notes
Big Bands were orchestras that played jazz and swing music. They originated in the 20s but became popular during the 30s and especially 40s, when swing became America's mainstream music. A typical big band consisted of reeds(saxophones, clarinets), trombone, trumpet and rhythm sections(bass, piano, drums, sometimes guitar). Here is some of the most famous bands, such as Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and others. Enjoy.
