the cd finds its way, somehow, onto dex's desk. it wasn't there when he left for class this morning, and he's categorically sure he locked his room; but there it is now, in all its shining metallic glory. there's a post-it note stuck on the case with a torn off piece of tape. "chill out!!! xxx," it says, in nursey's looping, careless scrawl.

dex rips it off with more force than necessary, but he doesn't actually ball it up like he initially meant to.
