While I understand why people hate Shaiapouf have you considered: he's actually a surprisingly complex character with motivations coherent enough to follow step by step that are also tied so inherently into human nature that it's very easy to see his actions and thoughts reflected in yourself as he enters a mental and emotional downward spiral in the personal hell he's created for himself. Also he's handsome and I love him
