Notes
A 13 track playlist in honor of my recent foray into bands fronted by women. Since my change of heart has come on the heels of a post-punk obsession, most tracks are of that sort, including Young Marble Giants, Au Pairs, & Siouxsie and the Banshees. Some shoegaze is thrown in as well. Mostly early 80's, nothing newer than 97.

I was looking for music to paint my room the color of strawberry milkshake. This was it. The room is almost done and I could almost hear Kim Fowley saying, "You missed a spot."

This is my favorite Siouxsie and the Banshees' song at the moment.

Congrats for making the switch, but p.s. not all female vocals are high-pitched.

You should check out the Greil Marcus book (mostly) about post-punk called "In the Fascist Bathroom" if you haven't already. He talks about a lot of these bands.
