Right now is right now and nothing but right now. So let's live it and be happy and yeah we have lost love and lost friends and whatever else but we have left these things in our rear view mirrors and are at peace with them, and hey who says we can't push ourselves to love more than we ever have before? You don't need a reason to be happy or to love - you just do it - and when you do, it benefits everyone.
