Michael League, bassist/founder/bandleader of the jazz/funk supercollective Snarky Puppy, has toured extensively enough to draw musical influences from all over the globe. His music mix for our listening blog reflects the same diverse palette. To help us announce his upcoming masterclass for the Jazz Bakery (along with fellow Pups Chris McQueen and Larnell Lewis), Michael compiled this playlist of some favorite album tracks (plus one recent track from his own discography).

GREAT mix! Wow! You can even hear some of the (for example mpb) influences back in the Snarky Puppy track. This is what I like about 8tracks: mixes that transcends single genres and places, that still share a common thread. No automated machine has ever been able to make that happen! :)
