"It's funny how I've learned to feel the woods, to understand them: their moods and tantrums, their explosions of joy and color. It's so different from the parks and the carefully tendered natural spaces. Those places were like animals at the zoo: caged in and flattened. The wilds are alive, and temperamental, and beautiful."

When she was lost and alone and had nowhere to turn to, she met him and he picked her up. And for a while, she believed she was saved. That was, of course, before she realized that he was using her and turning her into a villain. She got away, joined the other team, and then there were long months of back and forth, there and back again, maybe coming back, not quite leaving forever. Still, there came a moment when she couldn`t take it anymore, made herself act, made him disappear. Secretly, she doesn`t know how to go on without him. And she doesn`t really feel like a hero. More like, a villain in disguise, just like he was.

“Someone asked me what home was and all I could think of were the stars on the tip of your tongue, the flowers sprouting from your mouth, the roots entwined in the gaps between your fingers, the ocean echoing inside of your ribcage.” - e.e cummings

A certain kind of quiet lived here, something pressed into the spines of old books and the smiles of old women, both of whom knew too much. This was a home, sewn into the whispered histories that rested between parchment and ink, lips and voices, and the thought of leaving was not only absent but unthinkable.

Right now, there are people like you all over the world. They're lonely. They're missing somebody. They're in love with someone they probably shouldn't be in love with. They have secrets you wouldn't believe. They wish, dream, hope, and they look out the window whenever they're in the car or on a bus or a train and they watch the people on the streets and wonder what they've been through. They wonder if there are people out there like them. They're like you and you could tell them everything and they would understand. You're not alone love.

“People always did like to talk, didn't they? That's why I call myself a witch now: the Wicked Witch of the West; if you want the full glory of it. As long as people are going to call you a lunatic anyway, why not get the benefit of it? It liberates you from convention.” ― Gregory Maguire, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West

"Seriously, though. it got... we got dark down there. I know this journey's been hard and it's only going to get harder, but we can't allow ourselves to... to get to that place again. to even think about destroying an entire world. We need to promise each other, right now, we won't let one another get to that place. Never again."

"At some point, everything’s gonna go south on you and you’re going to say, this is it. This is how I end. Now you can either accept that, or you can get to work. That’s all it is. You just begin. You do the math. You solve one problem and you solve the next one, and then the next. And If you solve enough problems, you get to come home." - The Martian

"[T]he snow drifted down and down, all in ghostly silence, and lay thick and unbroken on the ground. it was a place of whites and blacks and greys. white towers and white snow and white statues, black shadows and black trees, the dark grey sky above. a pure world, Sansa thought. I do not belong here. Yet she stepped out all the same."
