Some french songs I chose as a native francophone.
French is enjoyed by many as something different, old-fashioned. Glamour & distingué. I love Wes Anderson movies, and he seems in love with old french songs.
Quite ironic, because as a french speaker, I would tend to avoid french songs. But that's another story.
So, I gathered a few "french speaking" songs; from different genres and times. I thought I had to share my particular angle apropos of that. And it could start a series.

⃠The mix starts with the beautiful Noir Désir song "Le Vent nous Portera" (great lyrics in my opinion). Then a Jacques Brel song from 1953: he's an incredible Belgian songwriter. There're some old pop songs, some rock songs and some lyrical songs.
