Once upon a time, long before Snooki & J-Woww, teen moms, and teen wolves took over their air waves, MTV used to play, y’know, music and, inspired by that network’s beloved live music program Unplugged, many rockers hauled out their acoustic guitars and turned down the noise. Wub-Fur Internet Radio pays tribute to that “let’s try acoustic-ish” spirits of the 1990s with this eclectic mix of 20 tunes, featuring R.E.M., “Petit” Ubu, the Meat Puppets, both guys from Hüsker Dü, Yo La Tengo, the Artist formerly and again known as Black Francis, Chan Marshall, and 11 more bands whose acoustic guitars do not go to 11.
