Last time you saw us talking about this election we were feeling a little doomy and gloomy. Now that the first debate is over and it was every bit as surreal and crazy as we expected it to be, the aftershock has us feeling strangely hopeful because, if anything, it hammered home more than ever just how crucial it is that we vote this year.
It's crucial, of course, for all of the sappy reasons that you'll see in the paid-for commercials: your vote matters, your voice can have an impact, you can be the change you want to see in the world, etc., etc., but this time around it's also equally important to really assert out in the world that you're not checked out. You could not be blamed for feeling lukewarm or even badly about both of the presidential candidates. But there are so many issues that matter this election that anyone can find a reason to go out and vote.
That's why we're bringing you this playlist from NextGen inspired by their #WhyWeVote campaign, which is dedicated not only to getting people engaged in the voting process but also understanding why it's so important.
