ten years married, ten years sharing a bed and a last name and an unshakeable belief even when it's very much not good that it's better with the two of us than trying to go it alone; bitterness and regret and doubt can curl up in the corner and live there as long as they're there in the room we build between us two, because when it's good it's great and when it's hard it's awful but it's always working better to split the burden to our four hands and find solace at the end of a long godawful day; we're very different now than we were ten years ago but like vines growing up a trellis we make a new shape together; anyway happy anniversary
