The songs in most of your mixes seem to oscillate in and out of varying degrees of reverb (which I suppose makes sense given your predilection for dream pop). Similarly to artful tracks setting up pop tracks in a traditional pop-rock album, sometimes your mixes have a way of lulling you away with soft textures of dream-pop that in-turn make the less reverby songs pop out more and really distinguish themselves. For me, hearing the post-rock Brothers track popping in at just the right moment was a fantastic complement. Nice touch with the Max Richter strings, too. Do you happen to be selling a print of the avatar you used for this mix?
thanks, that's a really thoughtful review of my mixes :) i'm still pretty much an album kind of person despite these times of itunes etc. so i try and incorporate those elements into them. and i love "arty" pop songs and dream pop for sure!
