The soundtrack to the movie Cooley High was all about Motown, but there was a whole lot of soul on other labels that year, as well. 1964 heard rhythm 'n' blues and pop pieces from not only groups like The Supremes but also people like Rufus Thomas and James Brown. Out of sight? No more!
