Hilde has been passionately involved in dance since 1996. Originally from Belgium, Hilde moved to Brighton (UK) in 2004 to pursue her dream of becoming a professional dancer. She trained extensively in numerous dance styles such as street dance, tribal fusion, contemporary dance, flamenco, ATS, classical Indian dance, jazz, ballet and Oriental dance. She studied Dance Studies at the Laban school of dance in London and has a degree in dance and visual arts from Brighton University.

Currently specialising in a 3 year course in choreology (movement analysis) at Laban, she is investigating the trends and tendencies of tribal fusion dance, a phenomenon originated from San Francisco.

She is also intensively training in Silvestre Technique, a contemporary dance technique from Salvador, Brazil. Each year she travels to Salvador to study this technique at the source.

Hilde is soon to be a IYN accredited certified yoga teacher (200hrs) from the Unity Yoga school in Brighton.

She is director of Masmoudi based in Brighton, founding member of Anansi (a dance collaboration with Kathleen Pearlson and Alexis Southall), founding member of Chaos Carousel (a project with live music and tribal fusion) and is founder and event organiser of the Tribal Remix Festival in Brighton, a yearly dance festival that invites world renowned tribal fusion teachers and performers.

She has performed and collaborated with some of the most incredible dancers and musicians, including Natacha Atlas, Merlin Shepherd, Phil Thornton, Sabio Janiak, Violet Scrap, Donna Mejia, Wendy Buonaventura, Rosangela Silvestre, Ela Rogers, Kathleen Pearlson, Alexis Southall and many more
