In a near-future sci-fi, a socially alienated man who falls in love with a girl, who passes into his life only briefly but then disappears. In the broader context of advertising drones and extremely invasive social media, he begins to convince himself that he can see hidden messages about her everywhere, and that she's in trouble somehow.
