I think most popular Christmas music is awful. Most remakes are unoriginal, uninspiring or lack real music. As long as it's familiar, festive or feigns reverence, then it is acceptable to most or sadly even labeled good. Which music gives a person the Christmas spirit is personal, but it doesn't have to sound so trite or lack musical craft. So here are my favorite Christmas songs that put me in the holiday spirit, maintain at least some traditional sound AND are creative, well-made or both.
