Well intentioned...most of these songs are desperately seeking for a God that has already shown "His heart, His ways, and His glory" (I am quoting a song that is in this mix) by His Son, Jesus. This could only bring confusion upon someone who is new in the Lord, and that's sad because I'm sure the people that are singing are not intending for this to happen.
@nerdologist@dacks Nothing wrong with trying to seek more of God and discovering more of him. There are plenty of verses in the bible that encourage us to seek more of him. E.g. 1 Chronicles 16:11 "Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually." Anyway who wouldn't want to discover more of God? He's full of awesomeness and it's amazing when you discover more of him! Isn't that what underpins the Christian walk of life? :)
