I'm a web developer with an expertise in backend technologies such as databases, task queuing and processing, content syndication and APIs and SEO. Before joining HiiDef, Ray has spent the past 3 years as a founding developer and architect at Mahalo where he researched and implemented key technologies that helped Mahalo to scale and rapidly develop new features. Prior to that he was the co-founder and co-creator of the first desktop Podcast client iPodderX. Ray has also advised on the Atom syndication format, appeared on Leo Laporte's Call for Help television program and This Week In Tech. Ray continues to be an active member in the Cassandra, Python and Django communities as well as a member of local technology & startup associations.
