A playlist examining three of the musical periods discussed in Bob Dylan's "Chronicles: Volume One" - his early years as a folk singer in New York's Greenwich Village; his recordings with Daniel Lanois in New Orleans; and his late-career revival. Beginning with clips from each period’s key influences, this playlist will then investigate significant tracks from albums like 1961’s Bob Dylan, 1989’s Oh Mercy, and 1997’s Time Out Of Mind. Then, it briefly investigates some of the works Bob Dylan has influenced and inspired, thereby revealing both where his music came from, and where his music led.
