I heard applause after Hungarian Rhapsody no. 2.. and its understandable because its one of the most hardest pieces.. Anyway, good playlist.. although I think Tocatta and Fugue shouldn't be the first track..
i 1st heard claire de lune in Frankie and Johnny..and i'm so happy for that cuz if i'd heard it for the 1st time in Twilight, it wouldn't have been as beautiful i don't think. but either way, i love it :)
claire de lune was playing in the notebook.. I believe it was the beginning when he was an old man on the boat while "old ally" was looking out the window.. I know this song well as it's my favourite classical song and I love that movie!!
Too popular. I have too many associations with all of these songs from movies and tv ads already. I'd like to hear something ELSE from these composers for a change.
Are you sure these are "masterpieces" so much as well known songs? Kinda sounds like you just couldn't be bothered looking for other pieces.
Also, you should probably mention that the moonlight sonata on the list was just the first movement. Not the whole thing.(third movement was the best if you ask me)

I found myself adding every track to my favorites. Except for bach though, he's a little too intense for me to concentrate haha!
kudos and good work!

⃠jinjahman November 02, 2011

It is sad when I listen to Fur Elise and I start to sing the lyrics to the Tenacious D song ...
⃠fightthepowa October 16, 2011
Highly approved, as a matter o' fact.
⃠stephferr_ October 06, 2011
unfortunately, "the notebook" ruined claire de lune for me ):
⃠MrsBear October 06, 2011
Claire de Lune wasn't played in "The Notebook." It was in "Twilight." But not the Notebook.

⃠onlinebret October 03, 2011
Don't listen to the music snobs, they can make their own mixes. I'm enjoying this.
⃠goblinqueen34 October 03, 2011
Terrible song to start with (so overplayed and tired) but it gets better.

can they not be both materpieces and well known songs at the same time? (I agree the 3rd movement of moonlight sonata is fantastic)
⃠vki9mqz4 October 01, 2011
