Diversity in Nudism - Last week we posted a new avi entitled "Shit Clothed People Say to Nudists," a quick roll of the amusing, true and foolish questions we hear on a regular basis from clothed folks, along with our responses. (Also, if the name reference escaped you, it's our take on the "Shit People Say" meme parading viral clip charts these last few months.)
To create this avi I called upon our lovely friends and members of FKK to be my actors and celebrities for a day, and many came through! We shared and munched on Superbowl snacks, laughed a lot, and everyone gave it their best for the camera.
What we didn't discover until a few days after posting it, was that this group was so fantastically different! Asian, Colombian, African American, and the list doesn't end there. The funny thing is that it only occurred to us after reading a question on Yahoo about minorities and nudism. After watching the movie, it suddenly clicked that we were  Young Girl Talks About Her Body Image Problems  of people I Have ever had the delight of being with.
Sadly this diversity isn't normally seen in the nudist world (in the US, though it's definitely observed in other states such as England). Clubs and resorts seem to be largely populated by middle to upper class old white people. Just like when you envision the stereotypical nudist.
Stereotypical Naturists
There is an assortment of components that might explain it having to do with cultural, regional, and economical differences, etc. We strive to do outreach with this in mind, as nudism should not be so limited. Yet, we live in the melting pot of Nyc, therefore I presume that makes a big, positive difference.
There we were with a cast of individuals of different backgrounds, races and ethnicities. Some were younger, some elderly, but for one connecting factor, they are all just fun to be around. While naked, we find ourselves looking beyond not only clothes and its social innuendos, but color and race, also. What have you noticed about naturism and diversity? Still a deficiency thereof or are we diversifying?
