An anastomosis (plural anastomoses, from gr. ἀναστόμωσις, communicating opening) is the reconnection of two streams that previously branched out, such as blood vessels or leaf veins.

Hey...I haven't listened to this playlist yet, but I'd love to see you change the image for this one. I was not always aware that white folks wearing head dresses as "costumes is really offensive to Indigenous peoples in the Americas, or why. I've since learned that in many Native traditions, headdresses are reserved for sacred ceremony and or the tribes or nations most respected elders and leaders. They should never be worn by folks outside of Native culture or as props or trendy costumes. Here are a few articles from Native folks in their own words about why is image is a form of cultural appropriation: http://apihtawikosisan.com/hall-of-shame/an-open-letter-to-non-natives-in-headdresses and http://everydayfeminism.com/2014/08/honor-native-americans-without-appropriating and http://nativeappropriations.com/2012/07/eckos-weekend-warrior-line-and-headdressed-skulls-everywhere.html. Thanks for considering.
