I'm not sure whether this counts as an AU or sheer conspiracy theory, but here's my headcanon of the Regents in Warehouse 13: they're all villains. (After all, the three Regents who get the most screen time are Flemeth, a terrorist who tried to kill Iron Man, and the fricking King of Hell!) Each is secretly working to further their own agenda and frustrate the other Regents' plans; that's why they keep making problematic decisions that the agents end up having to solve.
