Bubblebuck- out of curiousity, what DOES define french music today? I was in Amsterdam recently and it seems they listened to a lot of pop music that you hear on the radio in the States. I would think the french would have a little more french influence. Have some tracks to suggest?

I'm from France and I find quite funny that people from the USA, UK or some other countries love France's culture and music from the past. It has a special atmosphere of romantism, a little bit overrated and magnified...Well it doesn't really reflect French culture nowadays. Nevertheless this playlist is great to relax and remember!

@bubblebuck I'm also french and I'm totally agree with you ! It doesn't reflet french music at all ! there is just some old msic, it's really special ! Bizarre bizarre...

@Sana Tekaïa C'est la vision que la plupart des gens ont de la France: Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel et un peu d'accordéon! Malgré ce cliché, il y a quand même des playlists avec de la pop française récente sur 8tracks!

@Sana Tekaïa - it's the same thing in Brazil. Whenever people listen to Brazilian music, they go into Bossa Nova, Tom Jobim, Vinicius and other classic.. when nowadays music it's way different than this. It's exactly what @bubblebuck said: "It has a special atmosphere of romantism, a little bit overrated and magnified..."

french music makes me so nostalgic. i don't know why though, i've never been to france before. this playlist is just so perfect, i love it so much. thank you x
